Paid Time Off
We recognize that our employees need a break once in a while. That is why Methodist College of Nursing offers a Paid Time Off Plan in the form of vacation days/earned time, holidays, and sick leave. The following plans are outlined for the different employment status groups:
- Administration & Salaried Staff (12 months)
- Faculty (9 months)
- Hourly Staff (12 months)
Administration & Salaried Staff (12 months)
College Closed (salary continuation, vacation days not used)
- Martin Luther King Day
- Thanksgiving Break
- Christmas Break
- Good Friday
Vacation Days (to be used during calendar year, no carry over)
0-3 years 10 days/year
4-9 years 15 days/year
10+ years 20 days/year
Sick Days (employees' illness only - no carry over)
5 days per calendar year
Holiday Time Off
- Fourth of July
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving Day
- Christmas Day
- New Year's Day
- Memorial Day
Short Term Disability
Eligibility: 6 months fulltime employment. After 3 days of continuous disability, receive 100% of salary up to 6 months. Disability retros back to 1st day missed.
Long Term Disability
50% of salary coordinated with SSI
